It's something I've been advocating for a long time (in the second piece, search for 'defence', it's about half way down the page. My comments are in green). Soon ninjabi dojos will be spring up all over Britain :-) But seriously, what with the attacks against muslim women (within their own communities/families and those external to those communities) depending on someone else for defence is just not possible.
