Radio Dave

Gentlemen and Ladies of Discriminating Taste may care to peruse the Musical Delights available for your delectation here.

Half an hour of music from:

  • Humphrey Lyttelton
  • Incredible Bongo Band
  • Bela Fleck and the Flecktones
  • Lafayette Afro Rock Band
  • The Prodigy
  • Jello Biafra and The Melvins
  • Slash's Snakepit
  • and Johnny Cash

If you use a Mac, then read either of these pages to get it to work properly. Playlists like this are just about the only thing that the Blessèd Steve got wrong.

Sir, you have made my day.

One of my favourite Beastie Boys tracks is "Root Down" and it seems they took some of the genius from the Incredible Bongo Band's version of Apache - beat that for pub trivia!

I really liked Jello Biafra and The Melvins, like a mix between Pixies and Therapy?. Must look into the Dead Kennedys further as didn't get round to them in my youth.

The Johnny Cash version of Mercy Seat was also interesting but I do prefer the Nick Cave original. Can't beat an Aussie Goth...!
